You are all invited to R1 IEEE StuCon’s main Friday evening event, which is going to be a 6hour hackathon. Hackathons are events where many teams (of up to four students) from different backgrounds and levels of experience join together to build creative technical projects. Participants will demonstrate their projects to judges, with the chance to win Amazon Gift Cards if your team places 1st or 2nd. This is an opportunity to have your work featured on Devpost and to network with fellow IEEE members throughout the night.
This hackathon is hosted by the organizers of HackUMass, which leads one of the largest hackathons in the Northeast and assists students in the process of bringing their innovative ideas to life through hardware and software projects. There will be introductory-level workshops to teach beginners how to use Arduino Unos or the Heroku API. We will provide a vast array of sensors and hardware devices including Myos, Leap Motions, and Raspberry Pis. Please visit this link for a list and descriptions for our hardware list. This hackathon will be about networking, making friends, and most of all, learning something new!
